The Plumbers & Pipefitters Local #773 Welfare, Pension and Annuity Funds were established with the purpose of providing health insurance, retirement benefits and supplemental retirement income for its members. Our mission is to provide benefits and services that improve the quality of life of our members and their families.
The Welfare Fund has grown to offer comprehensive health benefits including; vision and dental coverage, prescription drug coverage, and medical insurance to include free annual well visits, free allergy testing, free child care immunizations and free mammography screenings. We offer life insurance, disability and dismemberment insurance, and an Employer sponsored Health Savings Account. The Health & Welfare Savings Accounts assist the member defray any out-of-pocket health care costs. Our plan is proud to follow strict HIPAA Privacy Rules.
The Local 773 Pension Plan was implemented in 1964, and has been providing benefits to our members for over 50 years. The purpose of the plan is to provide a retirement income for the member, supplementing Social Security Benefits, following the time the member retires from active employment in the plumbing and pipefitting trades in our the area. Our members are eligible to retire as early as age 55, and in order to meet the conditions of our members, we offer many different pension options.
The Local 773 Annuity Plan was implemented in 1992 and is a defined contribution plan classified by the IRS as a profit sharing plan. Participants can direct their investment monies in their individual accounts. While the Annuity Plan is intended to provide supplemental income at retirement, members may also withdraw certain funds upon meeting certain criteria if they desire.
